Professional photographer, journalist and lecturer at the IED – Istituto Europeo di Design (European Institute of Design), Settimio Benedusi is one of the leading figures in Italian photography. He has worked on magazines for all of the most important publishers and is the only Italian to have contributed to the historic magazine “Sports Illustrated” for seven years running. He defines himself as a “Facial” photographer – the portrait is in fact one of his key defining artforms as he believes that the face is an authentic and sincere means of telling a person’s story.
